News about the explosions at the Boston marathon is dominating search traffic this morning with many of the top trending terms being the names of news organizations themselves. This morning, the Boston Globe is reporting that police searched an apartment in nearby Revere and identified the 8-year-old boy who was among the dead. The coverage also is shifting to who was responsible. The Los Angeles Times reports that the Taliban in Pakistan has denied responsiblity. Others are theorizing that because the blast coincided with Patriots Day and Tax Day and close to the anniversaries of the Waco seige and the Oklahoma City bombing domestic anti-government terrorists could be to blame. Others are looking at the composition of the explosive device, notably that ball bearings were used. Welcome to your online trends report for Tuesday April 16, 2016.
